Nominator's project description
| Professor Antonovics is a leading authority in evolutionary biology. Most recently, he has made major contributions to our understanding of sexually transmitted diseases and host-pathogen coevolution. He is currently working on disease emergence, the role of pathogens in limiting species distribution and the evolution of host-pathogen genetic systems. During his stay in Berlin, he intends to model the co-evolutionary boundary between mututalism and parasitism and to formulate experimental work on fungal impact on plant communities. |
